Default Sally crouched further and further back into her corner as heavy blows began to shake

Sally crouched further and further back into her corner as heavy blows began to shake
the stout wooden door. It held for at least a dozen blows, but eventually the hinges
began to loosen, and the planks themselves began to spring apart from one another.
Through the cracks in the wood, Sally caught glimpses of half a dozen roughly dressed
men.
Finally, with a splintering crash, the door came crashing full length into the room. The
doorway was wide-open. The men crowded into the opening. "Ohho! Look at that over
there!" one of the men cried out, spying Sally crouched in her corner. "The kind of
treasure we're looking for!"
The men crowded into the bedroom, led by the man who had spotted Sally. He was one
of the most villainous-looking men she'd ever seen, big, burly, dressed in once-colorful
but now ragged clothing. His shaggy hair was tied back behind his head. He wore a
huge pistol in his belt and sword hung from a dirty red sash draped over one shoulder.
He was barefoot. Worst of all he had only one eye, covered by a tattered black eyepatch.
A hideous scar twisted down the right side of his face.
The men fanned out around Sally. They were all lesser repetitions of the first man,
tattered and dirty, some of them bloodstained. Sally wondered where her husband was.
If some of the blood on the raiders was his.
The man with the eye-patch laughed. "We couldn't have found her in a better place,"
he said, casting a glance at the big bed. "Let's rape her."
Sally almost fainted from fear and loathing. The big man started forward, but one of the
others grabbed his sleeve. "You remember what the Cap'n said," he mumbled. "That we
had to bring everything to the central square so it could be portioned out equally."
